The Fall Operators' Choice

I picked last week, the same day The Librarian picked, but I just got around to posting my work because there was a little hiccup regarding what I picked. That is, I didn't get at all what I picked and it had to be handled. So I got about 60% of what I should have gotten, but c'est la vie and it's a schedule I can live with anyway. It's very similar to what I'm doing now, just with more uptown relief. I'm hoping that by the end of the pick (four months from now), we'll have sold our damn wiener house and moved in to an apartment in uptown (for half the price of an entry-level mortgage) and relief in uptown will be a five minute walk instead of a 20 minute bike ride. I'm hoping that it happens before the snow, at least.

Hmm... I think that work on the 17 is a fairly recent addition to the line. When I was driving it, I'm pretty sure everyone was either running between NE and France or downtown and Ramsgate.

I'm guessing that work should be OK. (Plus, two good layovers...)

you know, since your the most famous minneapolitian blogger and everyone reads everything you write, you should really be nicer to your house. Maybe someone will give you a extra couple of thousand to own "the driver 2165 house" Or you could open a museum.

for what it's worth, i do actually like your house... as far as houses go. It's kind of an interesting mix between california bungalow and minneapolis generic. worse then some but better then most.

i've just given up hope. it's been on the market (it's called a market, that is, but it's really a black hole) for 9 months now. the people that like it would rather live in uptown, the people who don't would rather live on the parkway.

your old house was repainted this summer. they finished about 90% of the paint job.

talk about a wiener house. That thing was on the market for like 3 years and they ended up selling in 1996 for about $2000 less then they bought it for in 1982 (if I remember right they ended up getting something like 32,000.) blah.

Ben:

Oooh, I see you're reading Fantasyland. How is it?

ryan:

highlarious. there's a few more at the library i think

Totally late to your blog, but what hours do you do the 17 on Saturday? That's my usual bus, and I am neither teenagerish or elderly (though I know what you're talking about, for sure).

Oops, never mind - just read a little further down your post.
