if you liked that podcast I highly recommend you read some of James Howard Kunstler's books. He's one of my favorites. They are all good, but I think The City in Mind and the Long Emergency are best.
The Long Emergency is terrifying. I don't think it's all totally right on in it's predictions, but I think there is enough in there that we should be serously worried about our futures.
