Mpls takes over

Anybody else notice that two of Tapes 'n Tapes to Tour, Get Hyped 'n Hyped I like the band just fine, but the hype is ridiculous.

yeah, congrats stranger. they forgot to mention one of the best parts though - theblvd monthly mix.

john:

I just saw Fog open for Subtle6 at the Abbey pub in Chicago. Fog is the fillet of the Minneapolis music scene.

ryan:

heck yes. as good as fog was, subtle pwned existence.

Kyle:

What about Sugoi!? Those guys rock my little world.

Kyle:

Call me out of the loop, but who is the other (tapes n tapes being obvious) mpls band referred to on Pfork. Forgive me, I don't live in mpls and so I'm a bit behind on things.

Kyle:

Cloud Cult. Got it. Sorry. I missed that.

john:

cloud cult

sheraton:

Fog is the feather in our hat, but he seems so less lean than he used to. I saw tapes n' tapes last night at the Hex for a free, "secret" show. My buddy (from Sugoi) and I where so underwhelmed, partly due to the mix—but come on!

Yeah, yeah, I know, it doesn't make sense to me either. Be sure to take plenty of notes so I can read about Minneapolis bands on the internets.

sheraton:

Does this mean you can don the "Best of" sticker on your bus window?

Ben:

Nice job, dude. I'm right on your coattails.

ryan:

lol heck yeah i want the sticker!

Hey, congrats on the CP Best of!

And I love your taste in music.

leroy:

as for knowing the music of both seawhores and cloud cult quite well, i agree with you more than a 100%. it is a shame that pretentious phoney "activists" like cloud cult get more attention than so many more worthy bands who are more interested in good music and being true to themselves rather than riding on a gimmick and and exploiting tragedy.
