Public Transit

In Ottawa the ATU local has an interesting idea. Negotiations have been dropped by the company (OCTranspo), so the bus drivers are going to try different ways to "send a message" to the public, starting with the drivers showing up to work in street clothes instead of their uniforms. They're going to try a new idea every three days or so until they run out.

By the way, is it just me or does the OCTranspo logo on the bus in that picture look like the company ran out of those white 'rtation' stickers?

That'd be pretty embarrasing if Ottawa's bus company was named "CC Transpotation".

You know, I thought it was a CCTranspo bus since the logo LOOKED like that to me (is it OC or CC??). I was driving down I-94 (near Benton Harbor, Michigan, not far from here) and passed two of these busses, which apparently are OCTranspo and not CCTranspo as I thought (?), heading eastbound. One had the digital sign saying "BLAIR" and the other one said "HULL". Public transport busses from Ottawa over 1,000 kilometers from Ottawa? Did a few feel like going on strike and taking the busses for a little Chicago road trip eh!?!

well I sure did a great job with this one. That bus looks like it could be a New Flyer, which might have been made in St Cloud, MN. Or something else. Sometimes I see SEPTA buses driving through Minneapolis all wrapped up pretty-like.
