My one-year sentence operating the trains is over. I start driving the bus again on Monday at 7am. I couldn't be more relieved. It was super cool driving the trains, but there were just too many issues there. I most look forward to being able to eat lunch at work. That and the occasional restroom break more than makes up for all the negatives. The five minute commute should be nice too.
I just saw a Midas commerical advertising something for 39.99 with the disclaimer "Substantial extra cost may apply" Substantial?

did you look into any of those schools?
I've got some stuff for you. I'll mail it in the next few days.

architecture. planning seems to be at places like dunwoody, and there's no way in hell i'm going to a place who's sole purpose is to educated strike-breakers.

Dude, I'm sure their curriculum and student body have both diversified in the last 70 years. I doubt the union is going to come down on top of you.

the u has planning too, you just have to get a ba or bs in Urban Studies first and then get the MCP (master of city planning). That's how most schools are, there usually aren't undergrad programs in planning. I'm actually getting a BS in Urban Affairs (with a minor in Sociology) right now, and then I'll go for the MCP. You can also speciallized your Masters at most schools for transit, housing, devolopment, whatever.

it's in their mission statement dude
i'm gonna try to get into one or two classes tomorrow. the one i really want has two spots left so hopefully there's not a line. the the bs is the same as the ba plus 2 years so i'll just see where i'm going i guess by that point. my understanding from the conversating with lauren the architect is that the bs is viewed similar to a masters when getting a job so i guess we'll see. i'll probably be finished before i'm 30.
