OMG Morneau won MVP! He deserved it, and I thought was without a doubt the most valuable player in the AL this year, but I'm surprised they didn't give it to that guy with the cologne in New York. You know, the defensively mediocre shortstop who's offensive value is entirely a product of getting on base a fair amount with eight sluggers behind him? Remember when David Ortiz said that and people tried to turn it back around on him by noting that he bats before Manny? Manny may be Manny, but he's not eight Yankees by any stretch of the imagination.
