Hiatus over
Finally, we have some rain. I'm back for a while, after caring for the kid and the wife while she recovered from her surgery. I took a week off of work to do it. I loved having all that time in the day to hang out with Eliot. We had a lot of fun together. She's napping now.
You may have noticed that the bottom two books in my sidebar have been rotating while the top book has remained the same. It's not a cop out [thanks, Zakcq, for the book, by the way], it's just about two inches to thick to bring to work, and I don't want to get it all scratched up, so I'm only reading it at home, where I have almost no time to read. It's a fantastic book, though. I got the last three issues of Dwell in the mail in a span of two weeks, so that cut into all my reading time for a while.
We saw two movies this weekend. Lonesome Jim is as bad as Annie Hall is good. I had Ben & Jerry's Black & Tan ice cream, so watching Lonesome Jim wasn't a total loss.
The damn wiener house still hasn't sold.
Comments
I just finished it today. It was entertaining, but it had too many big flashy headlines with very little substance, and the math, not to mention the logic and reasoning, is usually either wrong or very basic. Ironic, because of all the disparaging comments in the book about all the experts that exactly what the book was.
