Background info: I hate dogs
Why is it that every time I'm walking somewhere with Eliot and we pass somebody who's walking their dog, and the dog person looks at Eliot and smiles, why do I feel the need to look at their dog and smile?

People with dogs and without kids, think that a dog is just like a kid! So they want you to smile back and act like raising a dog is as challenging as raising a child and that the dog is so cute and some reflection of the 'parent'.
if you move to SF, you'll have to love dogs or everyone will hate you. I think that's why everyone hates me here...
I hate dogs too. I only like cats and babies.
