Except for a four-hour shift at Night Job tonight and an hour-long staff meeting on Sunday evening, I:00 AM officially a non-productive member of society. I contribute no goods or services towards the edification of our society. It feels good to be in this social classification again. I enjoyed doing what I did over the past several months, but the problem with working 50+ hours every week is that it leaves you very little time to do other things...like see family, or friends, or to study Russian. Well, I'm at T-minus a week and a half and, aside from some minor items I need to pick up (soap, passport photos, batteries, duck tape, etc.), I basically have time at my disposal to either see friends or work on my Russian (though I've admittedly been doing more of the former than the latter).
Am I a non-contributing member of society? Considering I haven't held a job since last 06/? Or do my pathetic attempts at blogging and religion papers count as something? Why do you have to earn money to contribute to our society? In that case I will be a bum for a very long time indeed.
