One aspect of life that continues to Amaze me is how comments we make to people that seem off-the-cuff to us are extremely profound to those who hear them. I can't believe some of the phrases I've said to people that they take hold of that I've completely forgotten about. Just this week, I was talking to the roommate of a friend. We were talking about music and she was asking about what kept driving me back to music as a mode of expression. I can't even remember what I said, but she seemed pretty struck by it. There have been previous instances where that has occured. I'm sure I've had a number of occasions where I've brought up something someone's said and they have no recollection of saying it. It's like you can never predict when you're going to say something that affects people, so it's best to be thoughtful and deliberate in everything you say.
I had another observation that I was going to bring up, but I can't remember it. Sorry.
