I work hard for the money!

Well, I it was a month later and ten cents per hour less than i wanted, but I finally found a job. Anna has been kind enough to talk me up as her replacement at the U. So on Tuesday I'm gonna start training to be an office specialist in the Office of Fiscal Administration in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota. As far as location goes, it can't get much better. I'm right in the middle of the original part of the U of M campus (i have to go through a gate to get there) and is right next to Dinkytown which makes it easy to find food, coffee, guitars, or books. It also happens to be right across the river from the West Bank/Riverside, which happens to be the neighborhood where Midwest Mountaineering is located. I don't think I could have gotten a more ideal location for two jobs. I'm looking forward to the commute home since about 80% of it is on paved, off-road bike paths.

Normally, I'm not really into Memorial Day weekend. Mostly this is because it reminds me of Remembrance Day, which reminds me of how inappropriately most:00 AMericans treat Memorial Day, a supposed day of mourning. It either turns into a chance to buy things and go on vacation or it's the preamble to Fourth of 07/. But whatever. I'm not gonna get into that now. The point is that this one is turning out alright. I'm going to see the Danielson Famile at the Rock Rock Rock tonight and tomorrow I'm going to the Greens' house for a BBQ and maybe some kickball! If I didn't have to work, this'd be the perfect weekend.

I finally handed in my first All-Star ballot. I think everyone should submit Kevin Youkilis as a write-in at first base for the:00 AMerican League.
